🧶 How I select clothing for Debberies

Debberies is all about the right clothes. Not everything just goes online. I personally select each item, and I do so carefully. Whether you consign your clothes, sell them directly, or opt for free pick-up in the Goirle, Tilburg or Breda region : the selection process always follows the same approach.

Does it fit the atmosphere?
Not everything has to fit perfectly into a category, but it should evoke a certain feeling. Calm, well-groomed, stylish. I always ask myself: would I want to come across this myself in the webshop?

The brand doesn't say everything, but it does say something.
A well-known brand often stands for quality and a longer lifespan. Labels such as & Other Stories, Ganni, Studio Anneloes or Wolford fit well with Debberies. But I also allow special, lesser-known pieces – as long as they exude quality and style.

I imagine the buyer.
With every item, I ask myself: would someone be happy with this? Would someone really wear this? Sometimes something is beautiful, but too difficult to combine or just too special. Then I'd rather let it go.

The season plays a role.
In the summer, I don't post pictures of thick coats, and in the winter, I don't post pictures of airy skirts. I always check whether the item matches the season we are in (or that is coming). This keeps the selection current and attractive.

The condition must be good.
No pills, no stains, no worn seams. Everything I offer just has to look neat. Second-hand doesn't have to be messy – on the contrary.

I want Debberies to feel like a place where you can browse calmly, where the selection has already been made for you, and where you can be sure: this has been carefully chosen .
Whether your clothes are sold on consignment , purchased directly, or picked up free of charge in the region, each item receives the same careful selection. This ensures that your clothes get a suitable second life.
